A Must Do! Download Your Facebook History

Do you know that you can quickly download everything you’ve ever posted on Facebook?
Yes you can! An easy download feature provided by FB, will provide you with an offline archive of all your messages, Wall posts, photos, status updates and profile information!
To get started, just login to Facebook and click on the Account link at the top of the page. Then select on “Download Your Information”. Facebook will compile all of your history on FB and build a Zip file to download. This may take a few minutes, so FB will offer to send you an email when the file is ready for download! However, when I tried this “will call” feature, no email was received. When I returned to page however and clicked again, my download was immediate.
Facebook doesn’t allow you to pick and choose what you download. You get everything! Once you download the file, unzip it to a folder on your local hard drive, then click on the index file within this folder. A replica of your FB profile page will open up in your browser with all of your data organized just the way it is on your live FB page, but with local links to your Wall, photos, videos, a list of your friends and all the messages you have ever sent on FB. It is a complete history of your FB activity!
